I was drawn to my first class in Silk Painting many years ago because I love textiles, silk being a favorite so the idea of painting on silk was totally fascinating to me. I fell in love with the magic of it and dabbled for several years while I was working full time. The learning process is fascinating in that there is always more to know, another technique to try. It's taken me some time to shift from left to right brain. I've taken classes, workshops and continue to learn and be inspired. I am a nature lover, especially flowers, and I'm often inspired to do flowers.

My most recent success has been creating a silk pillow...from the silk work to sewing it. I'm far from an expert in any technique but I do believe I have a keen sense of color. I'm loving this journey of silk art and loving my artistic friends.
