My name is Addie Chernus and been painting on silk for 26 years. I was a board member of Silk Painters International (SPIN) and the Vendor/Sponsor Coordinator for four Festivals. At Lake Tahoe Community College I taught silk art for over 10 years. I have written two books on silk painting instruction: "ADDIE SILK ART Silk Painting Lessons" and "ADDIE SILK ART Plein Air Silk Painting in Europe". Also I created "ADDIE SILK ART Silk Painting Lessons DVD" which shows step by step silk painting to finished art. My forte is design and color. I create art to frame, art to wear, wall art, dolls, silk quilts and hand painted silk dyed fabric to sew into clothing. I am a graduate of UCLA and have taught silk painting workshops during SPIN Festivals, Maui Community College, Kapalua Art School, UC San Diego, Mira Costa College and other art festivals.
